On Friday, the first place Chelsea FC became the champions of the Premier League. Now that the team has won the league championship, this is what is in store for the players and the team.

Chelsea is projected to spend at least $120 million this offseason. Also, they plan to recall many players that are currently on loan in other leagues and countries.

As the team looks to bring many new stars, it is becoming possible that they may lose their top scorer, Diego Costa. Rumors have been surfaced about the Spanish star leaving England to join Tianjin Quanjian in the Chinese league. Tianjin is prepared to offer a $83 million deal for Costa.

Chelsea will be looking at Romelu Lukaku of Everton FC as a potential replacement for Costa. Everton is looking to get a least $100 million for the 24 year old Belgium. Lukaku had played for Chelsea in the 2011-12 season, but was not very successful, prompting Chelsea to transfer him to Everton.

One other potential replacement for Costa is Alvaro Morata of Real Madrid. Morata previously played under current Chelsea head coach Antonio Conte at Juventus. The 24 year old Spaniard would be a great fit for Chelsea because of his great relationship with Conte.

Chelsea veteran John Terry plans on leaving the team after spending 19 years with the club. Terry has no plan for his future, but many teams would like to have him on their team. At the age of 36, Terry is will most likely not receive any big offers because he is expected to only play for 1-2 more years.

Chelsea also plans to recall Andreas Christensen from loan for the upcoming season. Christensen has been on a two year loan at Borussia Monchengladbach. In order to make the club’s first team, Christensen must impress team management with his play during Chelsea’s preseason tour in China.

The Premier League transfer window officially opens on July 1st. Until then, there will continue to only be speculation about many players.
