A month ago, the Boston Celtics won the NBA lottery via their pick swap with the Brooklyn Nets. The Lakers got the second pick and the 76ers got the third. Washington freshman guard Markelle Fultz has been the unanimous choice by experts for the No. 1 overall selection. Lonzo Ball, son of the very interesting Lavar Ball, has been pegged as the most likely choice for the Lakers at No. 2. Which leaves The Sixers at the third spot with their biggest needs at the guard position. Unfortunately, the Sixers will most likely be missing out on the two best guard prospects. The next option for the Sixers would be to trade down; here are some options.

Philadelphia 76ers receive: 5th overall pick, 10th overall pick

Sacramento Kings receive: 3rd overall pick

The Kings have been rumored by many to be targeting Kentucky point guard De’Aaron Fox. Unfortunately for the Kings, Fox may not be there when they are on the clock with the 5th pick. The Sixers have had an eye on Fox if they stay at the three spot. In order for the Kings to ensure they get their guy in Fox they must take away the option for the Sixers to pick him. For the Sixers this trade makes a lot of sense if both top guard prospects go 1 and 2. If the Sixers trade back for 5 and 10 expect Malik Monk to be a prime target at the 5 spot.

Philadelphia 76ers receive: 4th overall pick, Eric Bledsoe

Phoenix Suns receive: 3rd overall pick

There have been many rumors swirling about the Suns targeting Kansas forward Josh Jackson. But their plan took a big hit when they fell from the 2nd pick to the 4th pick during the NBA lottery. Many think that if the Sixers stay put at the number three spot they will take Jackson. If that happens the Suns will turn to plan B in Jayson Tatum. If the Suns trade ahead of the Sixers they will ensure that they get their guy in Josh Jackson. For the Sixers, they get a great prospect at 4 and a veteran point guard to help an guide a young team.

Philadelphia 76ers receive: Kristaps Porzingis

New York Knicks receive: 3rd overall pick, 36th overall pick, 46th overall pick, Jahlil Okafor

This would be a crazy trade that would shake up the entire Eastern Conference. Porzingis has previously shown his frustration towards the Knicks management. In this trade the Knicks would be receiving a boatload of picks along with a former 3rd overall pick in Jahlil Okafor. The Sixers would be receiving a budding star in Porzingis who has shown that he is the real deal.
