And now for the team’s preview:

All expected players as of June 30th

San Antonio Spurs

The Spurs will participate in the Las Vegas and Utah Summer Leagues

Players expected to compete: Bryn Forbes, Derrick White, Jaron Blossomgame, Davis Bertans, Dejounte Murray, James Robinson, Olivier Hanlan, Jeff Ledbetter, Cleanthony Early, Cody Lalanne, Livio Jean-Charles, Ben Bentil, Shayne Whittington, Cory Jefferson

Former NBA players Cleanthony Early, Shayne Whittington, Livio Jean-Charles, and Cory Jefferson will try to crack an NBA roster with the Spurs this summer.

Number 29 overall pick Derrick White will get his first chance in the NBA atmosphere. White is a versatile combo guard with a reliable shooting stroke and good passing skills.

Second year players Davis Bertans and Dejounte Murray had varying levels of success, and a pair of good summers could set them up as valuable bench pieces for an aging Spurs team. UDFA Jaron Blossomgame posted big numbers while being the man at Clemson, and this summer could be a showcase for his skills.

Player to Watch: Bryn Forbes

Bryn Forbes has the ability to shoot your team to victory. The second-year guard earned a contract with the Spurs last year but spent most of his time with the Austin Spurs. Forbes did not disappoint, averaging nearly 24 points per game and shooting 48 percent from three.

Like Bertans and Murray, a big summer could give him a larger role in the NBA.
